What to Expect
Mild swelling, redness, and sensitivity are normal for the first few days.
A bit of clear or white discharge may occur—this is part of the healing process.
Do not panic. Do not touch. Do not overclean.
Clean It (2x a day)
✅ Use:

Sterile saline solution (or make your own: 1/4 tsp non-iodized sea salt in 1 cup warm distilled water)

Cotton pad or sterile gauze
💧 How:

Wash your hands thoroughly.

Soak or compress the area with saline for 3–5 minutes.

Let it air dry or pat with a clean paper towel (never cloth).
WHAT NOT TO DO

🚫 Don’t twist or rotate the jewelry

🚫 Don’t touch it with unwashed hands

🚫 Don’t use alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, Dettol, or Betadine

🚫 Don’t apply creams, ointments, or makeup around the area

🚫 Don’t sleep on the piercing

🚫 Avoid swimming (pools, lakes, oceans) during the initial healing
Lifestyle Tips:

Change your pillowcase every 2–3 days.

Keep hair, phones, glasses, and makeup away from the piercing.

Avoid trauma: tight clothes, harsh brushing, or snags.

Eat clean, hydrate, and rest—your body heals best when it’s healthy.
